What's new in Guidely

Everything that's shipped, newest first, with the day it went live. Posted by Gurp Parmar.

    • Scout insights: Scout's weekly brief on what matters across your analytics, pages and session recordings, with the pages that need a look and where people struggled.
    • Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI assistants to Guidely. They can read your guides, analytics, replays, errors, conversations, help articles and flags, and, if you allow it, draft articles, resolve errors and turn flags on or off.
    • Pay as you go billing through Stripe. Every product keeps a free allowance each month, you set a billing limit per product, and the pricing calculator shows what a month would cost.
    • Anyone can sign up now. Workspaces start on the Free plan with no card.
    • Complaints in the Scout messenger: people pick a category you set up, get a reference number, and each complaint is sent to your webhooks or Slack by category.
    • Screens picked by a query parameter, like ?section=billing, can be reported as separate pages.
    • Help articles have versions. Edit a live article without changing what readers see, then publish it or roll back.
    • The messenger widens while someone reads an article, and articles can be shown to logged-in users only.
    • Show a guide, checklist or survey to everyone, to logged-in users only, or to anonymous visitors only.
    • Reports: conversations by type, topic and outcome, issues pushed to your tracker, and which pages people ask for help on.
    • “Show me” walkthroughs in Help search results and articles.
    • Connect several Slack channels to a project. Scout requests posted to Slack include the user's recent sessions.
    • Session replay in the iOS and Android SDKs.
    • Checklists can have any number of tasks, and you can reset dismissed checklists from the dashboard.
    • User names show next to ids in replays, checklists, surveys and audiences.
    • Import your feature flags from ConfigCat.
    • Override feature flags in CI from any SDK.
    • Development, Staging and Production data stay separate on every page and in the SDK.
    • Feature flags and experiments, with SDKs for web, iOS, Android, PHP and Java.
    • How-tos get comments and version history, export to Word, publish to Confluence, and share as a video. Scout suggests the how-to for the screen someone is on.
    • The script-tag SDK is now a tiny loader that caches the rest.
    • Privacy Policy and Terms of Service published.
    • How-tos: record a task in your app and get a step-by-step guide with screenshots, annotations and crop. String them into manuals with Pages, and see how people really do each task with Optimize.
    • Product analytics: session replay, heatmaps, error tracking, funnels and retention.
    • Mobile SDKs for React Native, iOS and Android.
    • Scout learns from conversations your team resolved, and its home screen changes with the page someone is on.
    • Each workspace chooses its sign-in: password, GitHub or Google. Per-member permissions on top of roles.
    • Help articles take images, video and PDFs, sit in nested collections, and can be shown to chosen audiences. Import them all from Intercom.
    • Push issues to Linear or Jira, and pick up your brand colors and logo from your website.
    • First release: the visual guide editor for tours, tooltips, checklists, surveys and banners, with web SDKs and the dashboard.
    • Scout, the AI support messenger that answers from your help articles.
    • Public docs at /docs.
